Community Alliance of Tenants is a tenants union. On the Know Your Rights page we opened, they publish — among other files — a 30-day move-out notice template, a bilingual repair-request sample, and a move-in / move-out condition report for deposits. They also publish a documentation one-pager they repeat across topics. English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Russian appear on that page. Confirm the current files there. We do not host them.

The bilingual repair-request sample still uses a filename that includes 12-23-09. That is an observation from 8 September 2026, not an insult. A 2009 pattern can still be a good letter. It is not proof of today’s repair timeline. Date your own letter. Keep a copy. Send it in a way you can prove.

CAT also names SB 608, SB 611, and House Bill 2001, and hosts one-pagers whose filenames include 2020. The session-law names are real. The current text of ORS Chapter 90 is a now-question. Use CAT for the letter. Use the statute for the rule.

oregonrentersrights.org is a housing self-help hub: handbooks, sample letters, and a pointer to the Eviction Defense Project for low-income tenants facing eviction. On the homepage we opened, the publisher is not identified as a government agency. Their own legal disclaimers say they are not a substitute for legal advice. Believe that.

The exact-match domain is why the site ranks for “Oregon renters rights.” That is a good classroom for Oregon-only PDFs. It is not ORS Chapter 90, and it is not Community Alliance of Tenants.

   CAT or oregonrentersrights.org for Oregon. A generic letter from another state can name the wrong notice or the wrong court.

   A 2009 PDF is a pattern. Your letter is the evidence. Keep a copy of what you sent.

   Email, certified mail, a portal screenshot, a photo of a posted note. The delivery proof is part of the case.
