They publish a Renters’ Rights Hotline on that page — confirm hours there, not here. They are advocacy and education. They are not the court, and they are not a substitute for a lawyer on an FED.

It is not ORS Chapter 90, and the publisher is not a government agency. Their own guides say they are not a substitute for legal advice. Believe that.

Oregon Law Help (through LawHelp.org) is the legal-aid directory. FED papers — forcible entry and detainer in circuit court — are same-day work. Multnomah County Circuit Court hears Portland cases. A union hotline is not that docket.

A fifth door, for discrimination only: the Fair Housing Council of Oregon. CAT is not FHCO. HUD is the federal floor under both. If the harm is “they will not rent to me because of who I am,” that is FHCO or HUD — not 211info.

CAT’s Know Your Rights page names three session laws Oregon renters actually search: SB 608 (just-cause / rent-increase overlay), SB 611 (rent-cap protections), and House Bill 2001 (eviction timelines). Those names are real. The current text is a now-question. The Legislature has amended ORS Chapter 90 repeatedly.
